The Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) is preparing to lead an Indian delegation to the International Trade Expo 2026 in Dili, Timor-Leste, scheduled for 14–18 November 2026. The delegation aims to build business connections, explore trade and investment opportunities, and strengthen commercial engagement between Indian stakeholders and partners in Timor-Leste.
H.E. Mr. Karlito Nunes, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to India, is supporting the delegation and its efforts to promote closer economic and business ties between the two countries. His support reflects the importance of diplomatic engagement in creating opportunities for businesses, institutions and industry representatives to connect across borders.
The programme is expected to provide a platform for commercial, industrial and cultural connections, company and product promotion, business-to-business matchmaking, discussions, potential MoU signings, and exchanges involving universities and innovation stakeholders. It will also offer participants an opportunity to learn more about Timor-Leste’s business and investment environment and identify areas for future cooperation.
The delegation’s visit is intended to encourage practical partnerships across sectors and strengthen links between Indian businesses and Timor-Leste’s public- and private-sector stakeholders. The initiative reflects IETO’s broader commitment to supporting international trade, investment and business collaboration.
The International Trade Expo 2026 will take place in Dili from 14 to 18 November 2026 under the theme “Thinking Globally, Building Locally, Trading Internationally.”
